Spare Ribs

Spareribs are cut from the belly of the hog and are usually larger and meatier than back ribs. Ribs can be prepared with dry rubs or sauces during the barbecuing process.

Grill or barbecue: For a rack of 3½ to 4 pounds, barbecue over indirect medium heat, about 325 degrees, for 1½ to 2 hours, or until tender.

Roast: Roast 3½ to 4 pounds at 350 degrees for 1½ to 2 hours or until tender.
