Thai Basil

Native to Southeast Asia, this unique basil plant is primarily used for Thai-inspired dishes. With small, narrow leaves and bright purple stems, Thai basil is more stable under high or extended cooking temperatures than its sweeter counterpart. With smaller leaves than sweet basil, Thai basil has a licorice taste that adds a mild kick to most dishes. This herb is rising in popularity and pairs wonderfully with chicken dishes.

Try it with our Grilled Eggplant Caprese recipe.
