7. Poultry and Eggs

$31.9 million

Massachusetts farmers produce a variety of poultry products. The state is home to 184 turkey operations with a combined turkey inventory totaling nearly 13,000 birds. Farms across Massachusetts also produced 41.8 million chicken eggs from an inventory of 136,000 layers in 2023. Cash receipts for eggs that year totaled nearly $5.5 million.
