Baked Goat Cheese with Marinara

Need a quick and easy appetizer you can whip up at a moment’s notice? Baked Goat Cheese with Marinara takes just 10 minutes to prep. Simply combine your favorite marinara sauce with seasonings, bake the goat cheese in the center, and serve it as a warm dip for bread or crackers.

Ingredients

  • 24 ounces (1 jar) marinara sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder 
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, plus more for garnish
  • 4 ounces goat cheese 
  • Crostini or toasted bread, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. In a saucepan, combine marinara, garlic powder, Italian seasoning and 1 teaspoon oregano. Bring to a low boil, stirring frequently.
  3. Place the goat cheese in the center of a medium baking dish. Pour the marinara around the sides of the cheese, but do not cover the cheese with sauce.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle cheese with more oregano to garnish and serve alongside crostini or toasted bread for dipping.
