Broccoli Tikki
These tasty, pan-fried patties made with broccoli, potato and fresh herbs make a quick and delicious appetizer or side dish.

Ingredients
Patties:
- 2 cups raw broccoli, chopped into small pieces
- ½ onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup mashed potatoes
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons curry powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon red chili flakes
- 1 tablespoon fresh mint, chopped (optional)
- 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)
- Canola oil for frying
Toppings:
- Plain Greek yogurt
- Chutney
Instructions
- Combine all patty ingredients except the canola oil. Mix by hand until very well combined.
- Measure out about ¼ cup of the mixture at a time to form into patties. Heat oil (about 1 tablespoon per frying cycle) over medium heat in a frying pan.
- Fry four patties at a time until deep golden, about 1 to 3 minutes per side, turning once.
- Top with yogurt and a dollop of chutney and serve immediately
