Caprese Meatball Kabobs
Caprese Meatball Kabobs make a delicious appetizer for summertime get-togethers. Starring fresh basil and sweet cherry tomatoes, this recipe can go from garden to table in about 45 minutes.

Ingredients
Meatballs:
- 16 ounces bulk Italian sausage
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- ½ teaspoon fennel seeds
Skewers:
- 8 medium or 16 small skewers
- 16 small mozzarella balls
- 16 cherry tomatoes
- 32 basil leaves
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large bowl, combine all meatball ingredients. Stir until completely combined, then roll mixture into 16 meatballs.
- In a shallow baking pan, cook meatballs for 25 to 35 minutes, or until completely cooked and centers are no longer pink. Set aside to cool.
- Thread all skewer ingredients and meatballs alternately onto 8 medium or 16 small skewers. Serve at room temperature.

Um, why do we preheat the oven? Doesn’t appear that it’s used in this recipe. 🤷♀️
