Mixed Green Salad With Figs

Sweet figs and crunchy pistachios add texture to a fresh spring salad.

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup balsamic vinegar
  • ⅓ cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 5 ounces mixed spring greens
  • 12 dried figs, sliced lengthwise
  • ½ cup roasted pistachios

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, stir together balsamic, olive oil, honey, cinnamon, cayenne and salt to make dressing.
  2. Place greens in bowls. Sprinkle figs and pistachios over top. Spoon dressing on salads just before serving.
