Peanut Butter Banana Green Smoothie

Start the day with a healthy Peanut Butter Banana Green Smoothie. Thanks to sweet, frozen bananas, a drizzle of honey and a splash of vanilla, you won’t even notice the handful or two of nutrient-packed spinach blended into this creamy, satisfying breakfast treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 frozen bananas, broken into large chunks
  • 1 ½ cups milk of choice (dairy or nondairy)
  • ¼ cup peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1-2 large handfuls spinach
  • Fresh banana slices, for topping (optional)
  • Extra peanut butter, for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine frozen banana chunks, milk, peanut butter, honey, vanilla and spinach.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy, then pour into 2 glasses.
  3. Top each smoothie with extra peanut butter and banana slices, if desired. Serve immediately.
