9. Sorghum

$380 million in cash receipts

Texas farmers harvested more than 1.5 million acres of sorghum for grain and 185,000 acres of sorghum for silage in 2023, resulting in the production of nearly 76 million bushels of sorghum for grain and more than 2.4 million tons of sorghum for silage.
