There are many who love agriculture, but in the Commonwealth of Virginia, we tend to see the intricacies of a farm and the people who work them a bit differently through the 2024 Virginia Agriculture Week Photo Contest. As we try to describe the vibrancy of a field after a storm, baby livestock huddled together, early frost on hay bales, the view of the land from a tractor cab and the ending of a long day – photography helps us capture and provide the fascinating detail of Virginia’s largest private industry.

The 2024 Virginia Agriculture Week Photo Contest saw a record number of entries within the categories of Faces Around the Barnyard, Fields, Seasons of Agriculture, Fresh Catch and Ag Technology. Thank you to everyone who entered the 2024 contest, and congratulations to the category winners featured in this article.
