1. Dairy Products

Wisconsin is America’s Dairyland, ranking No. 1 in the nation for cheese production and No. 2 for milk production. The state’s inventory of more than 1.26 million dairy cattle produced more than 32.3 million pounds of milk in 2024.

2. Cattle and Calves

$3 billion

As of Jan. 1, 2025, Wisconsin’s cattle and calf inventory totaled 3.25 million, including 275,000 beef cows.

3. Corn

$1.7 billion

In 2024, Wisconsin farmers harvested 2.96 million acres of corn for grain and 730,000 acres of corn for silage, yielding more than 515 million bushels for grain and 14.6 million tons for silage.

Wisconsin’s 2024 soybean production totaled more than 101 million bushels from a harvest spanning more than 2 million acres.

Wisconsin ranks No. 1 in the nation for cranberry production, growing more than 60% of the nation’s total crop. In 2024, the state produced 5.49 million barrels of cranberries from a harvest encompassing 19,600 acres.
