Discover Kentucky Agritourism for the Whole Family
In partnership with: Kentucky Department of Agriculture
A remarkable 97 percent of farms in Kentucky are family-owned, and each tells the story of their connection to the land. Many farm families invite visitors throughout the year to learn more about Kentucky agriculture through agritourism.

Pick Your Own Adventure
Nestled in the picturesque countryside of Versailles, Eckert’s Country Store and Orchard evolved from German immigrants through seven generations, all with a passion for growing nutritious fruits and vegetables. What began in 1910 as a humble roadside stand in Belleville, Illinois, grew into a flourishing family enterprise that expanded into Kentucky in 2017.
Eckert’s 68-acre U-pick farm features seasonal strawberries, blackberries, peaches, and 25 different varieties of apples.
Fall is the season for wagon rides, haunted hayrides, bonfires, corn mazes, pumpkins, and live music. More than 5,000 students visit the farm annually on field trips, studying sustainable agriculture, interacting with petting zoo animals, and enjoying playground activities, pig races, and hayrides.
“We want to give families a unique experience and create a space for them to make memories and come back year after year,” said Amanda Morgan, Eckert’s Marketing Director.
Don’t miss the array of farm-fresh produce, preserves, sauces, bakery items, cider doughnuts, and cold-pressed cider in the Country Store. Plus, find recipes and growing tips on the website.

A Maze of Activities
The Devines understand the value of hard work. After 34 years as dairy farmers in Harrodsburg, Glenn and Martina Devine purchased a nearby 100-acre property focused on agritourism offerings.
“We planted a corn maze in 2008, and 3,000 people came,” Glenn said. “It’s grown to 30,000 in 2023.”
Success is very much a family affair. Their son, Jason, has developed most of the fall and winter activities. Zipline, obstacle course, apple blaster, jumping pillows, face painting, tube slide, and winter snow tubing on man-made snow are among visitors’ favorites.
Martina runs the summer Farm Market, selling corn, fruits, vegetables, and preserves Monday through Saturday. Availability is updated on their Facebook page.
From mid-September to Halloween, enjoy fall wagon rides to the U-pick pumpkin patch, 10-acre corn maze and petting zoo.
Devine’s Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch is open to the public on weekends and popular for groups and field trips during the week. The season peaks with a haunted maze to the old barn for Halloween weekend. Visit at Christmas for Santa photos in the historic 1790 homeplace, built by James McAfee.
