DIY Almond Butter
Tired of spending a fortune on ready-to-eat nut butters? Try making your own DIY Almond Butter. Almonds contain omega-3 and monounsaturated fats, and this heart-healthy recipe takes minutes to prepare. Simply blend almonds with oil and salt in a food processor and store them until needed.

Ingredients
- 2 cups whole blanched (peeled) and toasted almonds
- 4 teaspoons canola oil
- Salt (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Arrange the almonds in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet. Roast for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
- In a food processor, combine almonds with oil and salt, if using. Puree until the mixture is smooth and spreadable.
- Store almond butter in a covered container in the refrigerator.
Tips & Notes
You can roast the almonds in advance and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a month.
