Fresh Tomato Salsa
Nothing beats the taste of homemade Fresh Tomato Salsa served on tacos, atop grilled chicken or fish, or alongside chips for dipping. With zesty onions, garlic and a touch of heat from jalapeños, this easy recipe comes together quickly with just a handful of fresh ingredients and a blender.

Ingredients
- 3 jalapeños
- 14 ounces (1 can) tomato sauce
- 1 pound Roma tomatoes, roughly chopped
- 1 small onion, roughly chopped
- 2 bundles green onions, roughly chopped
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 tablespoon water
- ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 1 pinch cumin
Instructions
- Slice jalapeños in half lengthwise. Scrape seeds out of 2 of the 3 peppers and discard.
- In a blender, combine the jalapeños, tomato sauce, tomatoes, onion, green onions, garlic, water, salt and cumin. Pulse mixture until salsa reaches desired consistency.
- Transfer salsa to an airtight container and refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.
