Holiday Toffee
A tin of Holiday Toffee makes a fun and festive gift for friends and family. This quick and easy recipe is loaded with chopped pecans, chocolate and red and green holiday sprinkles for an extra touch of Christmas cheer.

Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, plus more for greasing pan
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
- ½ cup semisweet or dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup pecans, finely chopped
- 1 to 2 tablespoons holiday sprinkles
Instructions
- Line a 9-by-9-inch pan with aluminum foil, wrapping the foil over the edges of the dish. Coat the bottom and sides with butter. Set aside.
- In a 2-quart saucepan, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the sugar, water and corn syrup and bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Once boiling, reduce heat to medium and continue stirring while carefully monitoring temperature using a candy thermometer. Once temperature reaches 290 degrees, immediately remove from heat and pour mixture into the prepared dish. Use a spatula to spread it out evenly.
- Let mixture sit for about 10 minutes, then sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top. When chocolate is slightly melted (about 2 minutes), spread it out into an even layer. Let toffee sit for 10 more minutes, then top with chopped pecans. Let it sit an additional 5 minutes before topping with sprinkles.
- Chill toffee in fridge for about 20 minutes, or until completely set. Once firm, lift the foil out of the baking dish and break toffee into about 24 pieces. Serve right away or store in an airtight container at room temperature.
