Homemade Flavored Salts Three Ways

Ingredients

Garlic Rosemary Salt:

  • ¾ cup coarse kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
  • 3 teaspoons granulated garlic

Lemon Pepper Salt:  

  • ¾ cup coarse kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon zest
  • 2 teaspoons ground black pepper

Herb Salt: 

  • ⅓ cup fresh basil, coarsely chopped
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley coarsely chopped
  • ¼ cup fresh sage, coarsely chopped
  • ¾ cup kosher salt

Instructions

Garlic Rosemary Salt:

  1. In a small bowl, mix all ingredients together.
  2. Transfer to a resealable jar for gifting.

Lemon Pepper Salt:

  1. Preheat oven to 225 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the salt, lemon zest and ground black pepper. Spread mixture out on the baking sheet and cook for about 20 minutes, or until the lemon zest is dried out. 
  3. Let cool completely, then transfer to a resealable jar for gifting.

Herb Salt:

  1. Preheat oven to 225 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 
  2. In a food processor or blender, combine all herbs and pulse into small pieces. 
  3. In a small bowl, mix the herbs with the salt. Spread mixture out on the baking sheet. Cook for about 20 minutes, or until the herbs are dried out. 
  4. Let cool completely, then transfer to a resealable jar for gifting.
