Hot Honey-Glazed Chicken Thighs

Sweet and spicy flavors combine to elevate plain baked chicken in our Hot Honey-Glazed Chicken Thighs. Simply whip up the glaze in a blender, toss it together with the chicken and bake until golden brown for an easy weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Glaze:

  • ¼ cup onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon light olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 orange, zested and juiced
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Chicken:

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs (about 6)
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons honey, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Set aside.
  2. In a blender, combine all glaze ingredients and blend until smooth, about 30 seconds.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the chicken, cornstarch, cayenne, salt and pepper. Toss to combine. Pour glaze over the chicken and toss again to coat.
  4. Transfer chicken to the prepared baking sheet along with any extra sauce from the bowl. Cover with another piece of aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Discard the top piece of foil and continue baking, uncovered, for 25 minutes.
  5. Allow chicken to cool slightly, then drizzle with additional honey just before serving.
