Ingredients
- ½ cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 large or 3 small bananas, sliced
- Butter pecan ice cream, for serving
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, vanilla and cinnamon. Set aside.
- In a large nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Once butter is melted, place the banana slices in a single layer in the skillet and cook until they begin to brown, about 5 minutes.
- Flip bananas with a small spatula or fork. Pour in the syrup mixture and continue cooking until bananas are tender, about 2 minutes.
- Fill 4 serving bowls with ice cream. Top each serving with banana slices and a drizzle of the sauce leftover in the pan. Serve immediately.
