Ingredients
Milk Chocolate Bark with Salted Pecans:
- 10 ounces (1 bag) milk chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 ½ cups roasted and salted pecan halves
Dark Chocolate Bark with Cranberries and Pistachios:
- 10 ounces (1 bag) dark chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- ¾ cup dried cranberries
- ¾ cup pistachios, chopped
White Chocolate Bark with Apricots, Dried Cherries and Pistachios:
- 10 ounces (1 bag) white chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- ½ cup dried apricots, chopped
- ½ cup dried cherries, chopped
- ½ cup pistachios, chopped
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and vegetable oil. (Use milk, dark or white chocolate chips corresponding to the bark variety you are making.) Microwave on high in 1-minute increments, stirring between each, until chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
- Using a spatula, spoon melted chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet. Spread into an 8-by-12-inch rectangle.
- Immediately distribute the nut and/or fruit toppings corresponding to the bark variety evenly over the top.
- Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or until completely set, then break into bark pieces before serving.
Tips & Notes
Feel free to mix and match toppings as desired. Toasted almonds also make a good substitute for the pistachios or pecans.
