Ingredients
- 1 ½ pounds lean ground beef
- ½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 teaspoon salt (optional)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper (optional)
- 8 slider buns
- Optional toppings: Lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, mustard
Instructions
- Divide beef into 16 equal portions. Shape 8 portions into patties about ½ inch thick, then use thumb to press a shallow indentation into each. Shape remaining 8 portions into patties about ¼ inch thick.
- Spoon about 1 tablespoon cheese into each indentation. Place the ¼-inch patties on top and firmly pinch the edges to seal the cheese in the middle. Season both sides with salt and pepper, if desired.
- Heat grill to medium and grill burgers, covered, for 3 to 4 minutes per side for medium to medium-well doneness.
- Remove burgers from grill and place on slider buns. Serve with desired toppings.
